Ace of Fades 212 is a private men’s grooming and hair replacement studio located in Midtown Manhattan. We are looking for an experienced barber who understands modern men’s styling and has hands-on experience with non-surgical hair replacement systems.
This is not a typical barbershop role. Our clients expect precision, discretion, and results that look natural in real life, not just in photos.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality grooming services while assisting with or performing hair system work depending on your experience level.
Responsibilities include:
- Men’s haircuts, fades, and modern styles
- Beard grooming and shaping
- Braiding and styling (preferred but not required)
- Assisting with or performing hair system installations
- Hair system maintenance, cleaning, and reattachment
- Blending hair systems with natural hair for seamless results
- Providing a premium, one-on-one client experience
Requirements
We are specifically looking for someone who already understands or has worked with hair systems. This is not an entry-level role.
- Licensed barber (New York preferred)
- Experience with men’s hair systems or willingness to demonstrate hands-on knowledge
- Strong understanding of fades, blending, and natural hairlines
- Attention to detail and clean finishing work
- Professional, reliable, and client-focused
- Ability to work in a private studio environment
Bonus Skills (Not Required but Valuable)
- Experience with lace systems, poly systems, or hybrid units
- Knowledge of adhesives, tapes, and maintenance routines
- Social media content creation (Instagram/TikTok)
- Existing client base
